We don't buy our furniture in.
We make it.
Every frame is carved from solid wood, then joined, upholstered and finished by the same hands that shape our interiors. No flat-pack, no shortcuts. Craft, the slow way, on purpose.
A block of teak, a mallet, a chisel. Every scroll and flower is cut by hand.
Joints are cut, planed and fitted, and the frame is made to last generations.
Webbed, sprung and sewn, much of it on a machine older than the workshop.
Sanded, painted or polished, and checked by eye before it leaves us.
A single carved settee can take weeks to make. We think that is exactly the point.

I Design Studios is the practice of interior designer and restoration artist Pooja Gupta, classically trained and maximalist at heart. Her rooms set the crafts of North India (carved wood, jaali screens, hand-painted murals, brass and stone) against clean, contemporary lines, drawing on an era of colonial opulence without ever turning their back on how a family actually lives.
Every project is designed, detailed and delivered by the same small team, and the work has been featured by The Hindu, India Today Home, Architect & Interiors India and a shelf of design titles.
